Men's Events - Global activities

Here is a following list chosen by Michael H. Hart, from the book ‘100 most influential people in the world’, chosen people on a ranking of who had done the most to influence the world and offering an interesting insight into the influence of different individuals. As the author notes, ‘Influential’ does not include a judgement on whether they influenced the world for the better or worse.

Men’s Events around the globe are just as conducive as the other contributing celebrated events that are now well ingrained into our lives… as they should be. Men’s Health week, International Men’s day, Fathers day, along with the equivalent Women’s health week (Aust), Mothers day, and even a Mothering Sunday. Parents day at this moment in time is only celebrated in USA & South Korea (actually replaced the Mother’s day). We also have Grandparent’s day, or, if you like you can break that into G’Father’s and G’mother’s  day… and then of course not to be out done is children’s day celebrated (or recognised) since 1925… with a close association to siblings day.

Apart from various historical events like cultural religious observances we also have, in line with the new world order, a myriad of other days inclusive (pun) that many people around the globe celebrate with great animation… probably considered more of a festival than an observance… all this together is what life has to offer at this present moment in time.

We’re the only charity tackling men’s health on a Global scale, year round. We’re addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention.

We know what works for men, and how to find and fund the most innovative research to have both a global and local impact. We’re independent of government funding, so we can challenge the status quo and invest quicker in what works. In 13 years we’ve funded more than 1,200 men’s health projects around the World.

Movember Foundation – rank 49 out of 500 non-Govt World organisations.
